Back in SAFTIAnd I went back in for a week stretching from Sunday to Saturday.. Sigh the time spent in there really sucked.. Loads of lectures, visits and physical activities left me feeling super sian over the week. It was just so boring! Not to mention the usual friday book-outs I am so used to have changed to saturday afternoon.. Made the week feel oh so draggy ><
Well at least alls not THAT bad.. We had a few interesting events ie the navy visit where we got on board the LST RSS Persistence and explored its interior, as well as the talk on how to see signs of mental illness. Especially this one.. A Dr. John Bosco Lee, a LTC with the vocation of divers O.o, talked to us. Apparently he's a psychiatrist or counsellor of sorts, and he was really interesting as a speaker. He had so many interesting and shocking examples from the cases he has handled both inside and outside the SAF. Think he had the least attrition rate of all the speakers ie to say the least number of ppl falling asleep!
Then came the highlight of the week on saturday. Our first rehearsal session with the SSM. All officers will tell you that he is probably one of the most garang sergeant majors around in the SAF. He gives out punishment like water, makes us sweat it out on the parade square like pigs, yet commands the humour and respect from us. After the horrendously tiring session which left me burnt, panting and inflicted with 2 blisters and a huge blue-black on my right arm, we struggled back to Air Wing to book out. Though I wore 2 layers of socks, the outer layer also kana rub until 1 big hole in both socks!
Reached home, unloaded all my dirty, smelly clothing and socks, then freshened up and went to look for Zel ^^ haha.. Went to make Oreo cheesecake at her house (yum!) No matter what she says, I think this 1 was the best so far lor! (makes a face) XD
