RSAF Open HouseThe last few days were days full of activities, and mind you, it was away from the place I call my office. Haha.. how I dread going back to my office.. oh well, nonetheless, the great guys that I work with each day are always there with me right?
Friday: RSAF Open House. Time: 0545H. Feeling really groggy, me and buddy PY got dressed ready for the whole day's worth of manning the various stations. Meeting the rest of the crew, we headed down to PLAB, where the RSAF Open House was held. And the day started, as the crowds started trickling in. As Friday was meant for only organised groups and schools, the crowd was kept manageably small ^^ ADA equipment as static as they are, failed to really draw much interest. However, as we powered up the weapon which we both love and hate and started doing our routine system check, a small crowd started to gather.
The Joyrides had begun. Clambering up the left and right sides of the gun, the visitors young and old, big and small, guys and gals alike, took their turn at the experience of being a gunner. Happily swinging around these visitors with the joystick, indeed, we had much fun! We even managed to draw a number of excited screams from some of them.
The day passed reasonably quickly, thanks to the company provided by my fellow coursemates of the various weapons systems. Haha I even tried a hand at the Mistral Simulator. Had quite a bit of fun! I'm a Mistral operator now! haha..
The guys that we are, of course, there was some chick hunting. At the end of the day, it was a pretty big disappointment. Total count for me: 3. Haha maybe it was really just the wrong audience. Oh well, doesn't matter, happily attached! ^^ dun kill me dear! Nonetheless, It was really funny when we mock-scolded the FDS guys for taking and storing pictures of one of them. Haha..
At the end of the day, with a new shade of skin colour, I headed home.. No.4 and all, fighting the Z monster for the long trip back home from Eunos. Perhaps I should have changed to civi, then can sleep all the way le.. instead of preserving the officer's image. Haha.. oops!
