Communication
Communication

The power of speech is truly miraculous. A single word spoken may change lives. A sentence spoken may change philosophies. A speech spoken may change destiny. Indeed, the power of words cannot be lightly taken.

By facing issues together, hand in hand. To talk about what you're unhappy in a straightforward yet peaceful manner. Somehow, for me and Zelda, we always get stronger after we talk about what we don't like about each other. Like how come she's usually the one calling me and not the other way round (haha yes, my fault). Strange huh? But from the start, I guess we managed to get some kind of honest communication going between us, even for issues I guess most would feel uncomfortable to broach to your boy/girlfriend.

Well, I ain't no relationship guru, having only been in one to date (and happily immersed in it), but I have always found that in a relationship, not talking about issues is the number 1 way to spoil the relationship. No one is indeed perfect, and especially not in a relationship. Unhappy stuff will always happen, even though both parties may very much in love. But what really kills is when unhappiness builds up, without the correct avenue of release. The mature relationship should consist of a communicating couple, who are unafraid to let the other party in on his/her feelings, and unafraid to improve if the case for concern is valid. I mean, while relationships should be comfortable, shouldn't love mean that you would give your best to your significant other?

Thay been said, failed expectations should not lead to exasperation, but rather acceptance and a place for each other to improve. For us, so far its working. ^^ we understand each other better le, like what makes us down and stuff, and what we like for the other to do for us. Thats where communication helps.

Of course, its a never ending process. The pursuit of happiness. How true. Its indeed a never-ending chase for it. Working towards it!

I can see it in your eyes that you love me too. I don't want you to go. Want you to stay. Forever.
