I'm back! After 4 days of vacation off the coasts of Malaysia of Redang Island, I'm finally back home safe and sound. Its nice seeing my room again! Gonna give you guys a short summary of what we did each day, plus pictures of course ^^

After dinner/supper at Bugis, the four lads with their packs bundled up in a taxi and headed to Golden Mile Tower, all excited and ready to go meet the sun, sand and sea. What followed was a pretty bad experience.

Apparently our holiday agent, Excellent Holidays did not pay the company Konsortium Express the money for our trip. Result? Either pay again or not go. Wasn't much choice huh? Me and Chui went to the nearby Police Post to report budden were told to go to CASE instead. Oh well, when we return ya? Pretty much pissed at this moment of time.. Quite a lot of money lor.. Zzz.

Nonetheless we tried to put it aside as our bus left and headed for Redang, at a sppen Chui described at dangerous and reckless. Couldn't help but agree.. On the way, we saw 2 accidents. 1 looked really bad. Car seemed to have been split in half. Ouch.. No wonder Zelda was so worried for me. Slept through the ride with Spiderman 3 playing in the screen in front.. Bad quality cam pirates. Lol. Thank God we arrived at our destination the next day safe and sound.

The next morning we arrived at Merang Jetty. Tons of people were already there waiting. Shagged out and hungry from the ride, we sat down at a coffee shop for breakfast. The coffee was HORRIBLE!! Worst coffee I ever tasted, really.. Anyway, we peed and all, then mounted the ferry to Redang, surrounded by a sea of PRCs. Haha.. I quipped that Ang Mohs go to Koh Samui while PRCs head to Redang. A really sharp contrast between the 2 islands.

The boat ride was long and not really comfortable, but lethargy took over and the outfield-hardened foursome drifted off to sleep. After what seemed like forever, we reached Laguna Redang Resort, then headed to the waiting room where the staff greeted and gave us a briefing. Weak sense of humour they had.. Then we proceeded for lunch. Chow wasn't good. Chui was complaining.. haha.. then again, it really isn't good food. Can't blame him ^^

Then we checked in to a nice big room. Looked really comfy, except that there was no bathtub. Pity. But the bed was big and comfortable. The TV however, sucked. There were 4 channels, 1 resort channel and 1 more channel that played "Summer More More Tea" 24/7. Disgusting. But was really happy that the Champion's League match would be aired on 1 of the channels.

We got our snorkelling equipment on and chionged to the beach to try it out. The beach was beautiful. White sands, clear blue sea, and hot sun. Diving in the water, fishes ahoy. It was great! When we had our fill, we went to the jetty on our maiden trip.

Half an hour later, we plunged into the sea, greeted by a vast expanse of coral. Hmm.. most were dead though. Awe inspiring yet disappointing. No doubt it educated me on the destruction humans cause to the envionment. Its sad when I think how beautiful it must have been when the reef was still alive. After the session, we returned to unit - bunk - uh our room rather ^^.

Headed to the pool to soak in the sun, then back to our rooms to clean up then dinner. Headed to the recreation center where we played some Mahjong, ate a Roti Chenai supper, then knocked out for the day in the bed.

Technically, it was the very last day of our holiday. Somehow time passes so fast. We quickly ate breakfast then headed for another snorkelling trip at a Marine Park. Well.. more fishes.. better but still dead coral, some more interesting fishes, but that was that. The throngs of people just killed everything. In the end we gave the afternoon session a miss, and opted to sleep in in preparation for the match that night. After an afternoon of sun-tanning, emo-shots, breakdancing, cam whoring, we slept till dinner time and went to the recreation center to play Mahjong again. Lol. Then it was back to our rooms in anticipation of the game.

0245H kick off. Well estimate la.. anyways the match ended 2-1 to Milan. I was disappointed, though not crushed. I mean.. we were the underdogs anyway. hardly a lineup that would chill opponents. Heh.. Piyo was complaining about Zenden, followed by Kewell. Yeah.. they played badly I thought.. Anyway, ain't gonna comment about the match here.

And finally, the time of our departure. Nothing much.. had to transfer to another boat probably cos the tide was too low for our ferry. Haha.. Then came the horrible 12 hr bus ride back home. When we finally got off at Golden Mile where we first started, I think I felt a little sad to leave that island.. Hee.. Zelda was so sweet to wait for me and meet me at Outram. So nice to see her again. really missed her quite a lot over the past few days. Hope can follow me next time! ^^

So that concludes our escapade. I really had a lot of fun.
