Windsurfing
Decided to carry on my recent run of blog posts (somehow got momentum) so to find a topic, I'll be talking about me and my recent favorite sport: Windsurfing.
Now I'm no expert, in fact, I would say I'm just good enough to get out there and really have fun, but if conditions are bad (choppy waters, bad tides, bad or too good wind), I can't even get my sorry self back to shore. But while TC our coach keeps telling me that I don't really get my basics right, which I agree, I still like to grab that nice slim board and a nice big 6.2 metre square sail and head out. The result is fast speeds, but I die from the weight and all that uphauling.
Indeed, I'm probably much suited to a 4 metre square sail instead, but that really sucks big time if the wind is lousy.. But yeah.. coach's advice.. I shall take it from now on.
Anyways, this sport is really worth a try and do try it! Don't think any of my SMU friends visit my blog, but if you do, do see if you can join us at the surf! Singapore really has some pretty good winds at times, today was a real good example. Absolute blast of a wind. Never got such speed before! Exhilarating!
But the result is often some blisters and an aching body. Not to mention my back has never been in great shape, so it does cause some pain. Haha.. and darker skin, though I'm happy with that ^^

A stunt I could never hope to do and a sail quite a bit larger than the 6.2. I think thats either close to an 8 or 9.
