Getting the Proper SleepEveryone who knows me in any capacity should know that I cannot function without sleep. And I love my sleep, even though I'm not getting it due to reason of my work in school (can't even call it studies cos i'm not even able to study effectively). So it was no suprise that a certain column in today's Today, pardon the pun, caught my attention.
Getting the Proper Sleep. "women who average about five hours of sleep each night are 40% more likely to develop heart disease.. but the the same study showed that women who averaged 9 or more hours of sleep were about 37% more likely to develop some kind of heart disease."
Shocking news indeed. I'm supposing this applies similarly to men as well. Can't sleep too little or too much. Currently I'm happy that my sleep averages 6 hours daily (enforced as much as possible by myself), and even that isn't enough to make me healthy.
Taken from Dr Bill Maier, Today, 12 Feb 2008: "Getting the proper sleep".Singapore should really pass a law to ensure that people do little enough work to have 8 hours of sleep everyday! Just joking though..
As I post this to start my reflection of the days ahead, the horizon is ever so bleak. I continue to do my very best to stay sane and rest on any support possible. Thanks to God for keeping me going.. I hope I don't fail and start breaking down. Haha.. studies already suffering le..
Someone to lean on and comfort me pls? Haha..
