Project SOS Finale
And at long last, after months of planning and execution, Project Summer on Sand finally came to a good conclusion. Loads of freshmen, great facis and the ever hardworking and brain dead organizing comm came together for the perfect picture of the SOS family. 4 days of working side by side building the the hot sun really gelled everyone together. Not to mention the awe-inspiring sandcastles that we thought we could not build but did.
Looking back, it was a project that really gave us all in the main comm a huge headache. But the end result really was worth it all. As I stood on a bunch of stacked chairs looking onto the whole sandcastle display, or delivering my final speech to the whole group, I really though that I would really miss this project oh so much.
It was beautiful. And my thanks to the main comm, especially my Vice-Chair Sin Hui who covered my back during my absence in China, giving the team much needed discipline and requiring high standards of work, which was something I wasn't too good with. To Jin Mei my secretary for reminding me of stuff that I have missed out and attending meetings despite work. To HR Director Si Min and her committee for the huge headache of settling HR issues, handling freshmen and facis alike. To Qing Hui and Winnie and the Programs Team for arranging the finale program so well despite some last minute injects. To Hang Loon and the ever hardworking Logs Team without who everything could not have been possible. To Sim Yee and Ying Ting and Marketing to have come out with various collaterals and doing their best to market the project in various ways. To Nicole and Li Jun and their PR team for liaising with difficult corporate sponsors and securing their aid and assistance. And last but certainly not least, Bernice and Finance for handling all the money and fiances and counting them. It was a pleasure working with everyone.
And to God, who has provided for everything. In the end, everything worked out fine. For providing me a pillar in the form of himself, and a little extra too. Once again, He has proved His point to me. And I am very very small indeed.
The late nights were worth it. And as I relax a little and get some much missed sleep, I remember that everything's not over yet. There are reports to write, finances to settle, people to thank, and cleaning up to do. Now to see everything through.. And school is starting so soon! I want a break.. sigh.. My Batam chillax trip has just fallen through.. was so looking forward to the good company too.
And next sem is going to be a horror. Oh well.. Till then, I'm gonna drive and hopefully be able to chiong and pass soon! I want my license!
