The Present"Live in the present", so did a certain magazine said. And to some extent how true it is. At the same time it has always been part of my own philosophy of life. Indeed, as the Bible said in Matthew 6:25-34;
"
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? ... But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. ..."
A passage that requires huge amounts of faith to put into practice. To put absolute trust in God's Providence. Even I fail in doing so sometimes. Indeed, Man has always planned and planned for his future. How to achieve a certain goal by a certain time, how to earn enough money for a comfortable retirement and how to live a good life in general. Are we able to leave all these aside for God to take care off? Or are we still doubting Him by keeping this one thing well within our control?
But everything has been good for me so far. Yes, I do have ups and downs as well, and I'd say I'm on the climb for now. But whats ahead could be yet another down, or perhaps continue to soar. That I cannot answer, but to deal with the present. That's sufficient for me. Yes, I have vague plans for the future, but they will come in time.
First comes school and my driving license. Haha!
