The End of 2008Okay, its indeed extremely late to start doing my resolutions now, but I gotta do them anyway. So here goes:
1. To remain faithful to the Lord and to serve in my capacity as the MF 2IC.
2. To be a good example to the rest of the youth and to uplift them.
3. To run another marathon.
4. To do better in school!
5. To manage my time better.
On hindsight, 2008 has been a year of learning. Through the year I've learnt how to accept the path laid in front of me, to understand and to see what and how God has blessed me. I've learnt some of my limits and my passion in various activities, especially fencing, my new found love. I've learnt how I work and how I play. I learnt that the people whom I surround myself with are great friends who support me in all kinds of ways. And I thank God that all things have turned out well despite all the difficulties that I've faced.
And 2009 is a year of challenges. To continue what I have been doing and more. To cherish the people around me more. To work harder and strive for even better results and secure my Magna Cum Laude at least. To play an even bigger role in the Lord's Church. To grow in knowledge and grace. And to exercise even greater self-control over myself.
I have no idea how it will go, but I know that I will have to place my trust in my God, who has never let me down. And even in my darkest days, He has always provided me a way to carry on.
The Amazing (g)Race and The End were relative successes. I was happy that at the end of the year, we managed to get together a meaningful event where the brethren could spend the last day of the year together. Playing DFTL was a new and refreshing experience, and extremely fun as well! I do hope the next time I'll be playing it myself and not be the host!
One more post below regarding my Japan trip haha.. so read on! I'll be back to update my blog time and again! Clear the spiderwebs!
